How hard is it to change the HD on a laptop?

most of them are simply a matter oh opening the cover and unplugging them and plugging a newer one in its place and installing the os
some can be a bit more diffcult |

It is for an older notebook (toshiba 2500 CDS)...I took the keyboard part out, but know know how to take the rest out...ot where to even look for the HD.
