scsi questions
I have one of the older models of medea video raid drives that holds 4 drives. I thought it was broken after my dog chewed up something inside. I just found out that the thing is fine but I was using the hard drives as normal ones. Each one was 30gb and I had the jumper settings changed. my question is: Do I have to change the jumper settings back to what they were? also if i do where do they have to be set?

you should need to set them back the way they were.
the jumpers are the i/o address for each drive. the controler is by default 7 and each drive can be anything from 0 to 7 there are 3 sets of jumpers and they are set to a binary number 1-2-and 4, so tha t if all 3 jumpers were on it would be a 7, but you can't use that one caust it is the controler. |

Is there a website or someplace I can go to check where they have to be?

you can number them any thing you want
it don't matter which is which as long as each one has its own address, the controler is always a 7 also check tha the treminators are still in place, one at each end. scsi is a complex thing to set up, but once its done its good. the addressing is what matters the most. as you said it was set up as a raid and you moved the jumpers, so it is difficult to tell you which type of reid it was. do you still have the controller card ? |

yes you can, but you need to do the setup for the scsi controler first and then set the boot order to boot from the scsi drive
