help needed - adding new hard drive

hi,
i had a question about adding a new hard drive, how can i find out if my pc can have another hard drive put inside? i have a sony viao pcv-rxa842, came with two hard drives inside already, one is about 40 gig and the other 80 gig, i wanted to add a third, but i've never done this before so i just want to make sure before i go out and buy another hard drive that the motherboard and take another one. is there something i can look for inside the pc to see if i can mount another one?

Thank you.

Your computer should have 4 IDE connectors. If you are only using one of the secondary for a CD or DVD it probably will work.
I've seen where a CD or DVD player will conflict with a HDD if put on the same ribbon. Over loading the power supply could also be a problem. I wouldn't do it.
A better solution might be to buy a USB case for the new hard drive and that way it will not load down you power supply and there should be no conflict with the IDE communications.
