barton 2500+ on a7n8x
Hi I just recently built a computer using the asus a7n8x board and everything is going well but when it boots up it says it only recognizes the processor as 1.1 gig and says there is 100 mhz external memory.
I have a Barton 2500+ and 2 256 sticks of pc2700 ram, why is it not detecting the actual speeds? I don't want to OC but I would like it to run at normal speed. Any help is appreciated. |

Jumper settings perhaps? Should be at 133.

I read the manual and I have 2 possible jumper settings. A 200 fsb and the default a 400/333/266 fsb. I have it set on the latter for the 333 feature is this incorrect?

How would I set up the fsb to 166 then.. would i change that in the BIOS or would i just have to set the fsb jumper to the 200 setting?
This is my first build if you didn't notice so please bear with my stupid comments

You leave the jumper at the Default value and change the Default setting in the BIOS to 166mhz (166 x 2 = 333)
