What colour and type of paint should I use?

Hi,

I am thinking of spraying my drives. The case I have is in the attachment below. The front of the case is silver and it reflects light blue in natural light. The rest of the case is black with a window on the left side in the picture. I was thinking about spraying my drives. What kind of paint would I use, and what colour would you reccommend for this case?

Thanks a lot,

mickmcc

GO BLUE WITH METAL FLAKES(or RED)...They truly compliment the look.. and if u modd withj colors, it will match.....it wil lalso turn heads to a brightly colored blue metal flake'd case, but thats just me....HTH

Um look at alienware cases(the older model) not the new ugly ones, they use the same kinda paint, just think of it in blue...Some cars have it, it adds contrast to ur case, makes it look shiney

For drive covers you want to get a paint like Krylon Fusion. Its made for plastic, and it will apply evenly. It comes in all kinds of metallic, flat, and gloss colors.

I do custom RC bodies and I have done many paintings from drives to guitars to digital cameras. For my case when i painted it I used a Iwata Eclipse air brush(very high quality) and RC car paint(i choose this due to its high impact restistance it is made for lexan but i sticks quite nice to my Ahanix Dbox.
