graphics card fan

msi geforce ti 4200 128 mb ddr.
the fan on this card has started to make a high pitch whine when i start the system up from cold,then it quitens down.
can i change the fan for a better one?.
sometimes the tower feels hot & other times warm,whilst running games like IL2 Sturmovik & Morrowind.

Well if your tower feels warm make sure you have adequate case fans to cool everything. As far as changing your video card fan, it's possible. I don't have links besides looking for new video card fans at newegg or your favorite retailer.

take the fan out and open it up. get some oil and put it on the fan, Where the bearings are. my card fan was ****ing up, so i put oil on it. now working better than before

Any light oil will do. I use Tri-Flo or some other oil with Teflon in it. Just don't use WD-40, it's not really a lubricant.
