No case fans good on my PC?
I have a enermax 1080 case(i think that's the model) with a Celeron 1ghz, ati 8500, audigy platnium, lite-on 40x burner, lite-on 163d dvd-rom, WD 10GB 7200rpm master, and WD 30GB 7200rpm slave. All i have is the HSF and the PSU fan. Will the temps be ok? Or should i get some case fans? I will be getting a 1.3ghz celeron this week and a WD 80GB special edition HD next week to replace the 2 HD's I have now. I don't want the HD's to overheat and die on me if that's possible.

It would be a good idea to have atleast one exhaust case fan in the back; so long as the temps are normal (<60c) and there are no freezes/lockups, you're in good shape...

If that's the case I'm thinking of, there's a spot on the drive cage to install a 80mm case fan to cool the hard drives. Install one 80mm fan on the back of the case for exhaust and install an 80mm fan in the drive cage.
But if a hard drive is gonna die, it's gonna die no matter what you do. I've lost 3 7200 RPM IBM hard drives that had hard drive coolers cooling them. And I think a 80GB Western Digital SE HDD just died this weekend...I'm waiting to get the computer from my friend's father to see exactly what's wrong with it, but from what my friend said, it sounds like the Western Digital died. That computer had good case cooling and it sounds like the hard drive still died. Cricket

When I build systems, I like to have at least an Intake fan in the front, and an exhaust fan in the back, otherwise air just sits in the case and heats up more and more. The heat will keep building up as long as the system is running if you dont' push it out somehow.

The case is actually the Enlight 7250. I got the names wrong. I am looking at new egg to get some fans. Are the Panaflo's that newegg sells any good? Is there a better brand for quiet fans? All i will be running is what i listed earlier. I might overclock the FSB to 133mhz to make full use of the memory i have in my pc. Thanks for all the responses so far.

Try to get yourself a good name brand set of fans that uses ball bearings, like from Antech or Thermaltake. The last longer and are usually quite a bit quieter.

As far as "better" brand of quiet fan goes, the only one I know of that's considered "better" than the Panaflo L1A's are the Pabst fans (they make a 80mm fan model that runs at 12db), but they're not easy to find. The Vantec Stealth and Zalman ZM-F1 fans are good quiet running alternatives. Cricket

One question about the Panaflo on Newgg's site. It says for the power rating 24V. All the other ones use 12v. Am I going to have a problem hooking up the fan? Do i need to buy an adapter?

Well i got my 1.3ghz Celeron in and now for some reason the hsf noise seems louder. Not too much louder but a noticable difference. Well the noise will be cut down here soon when i get my new HD in. The other 2 WD i have in my pc are loud with their whinning noise. Thanks again for all the help guys.

Are you using the same HSF that you used on the 1GHz Cely?

The noise is actually coming from the PSU and the HD's. I guess I didn't notice the noise before over the old CPU. On last question before I'm done. Do i need to rasie the voltage on the CPU if I want to OC it? I just wanna make sure if I OC the celeron, I do it right. Thanks.
