Monitor will not power off Help!!
Not sure what is going on.Monitor is powered from the main power supply unit.
When shutting down system the computer is off but the monitor still shows an amber light is this normal. i would have thought when powered off all should be off. Running Windows ME using an Gigabyte GA-7N400L nForce2 K& Triton servies MB I have disabled all the powermangmentin the bios and updated the bios. Still no joy. |

This is normal, as you need to manually power the monior off from the power switch on the monitor itself, however, if you switch the PC off at the mains this will cause the monitor to turn off, the way you have it setup, but not a simple shutdown will not power it off.

Yeah, the auto shut-off feature that your computer uses won't shut off the monitor, just the main box itself.
