Send a message via ICQ to Vigo
Boot with the cd that came with the motherboard. Enter bios and change all the settings back to default.

Post your complete system specs.

Have you tried clearing the BIOS yet?

Have you determined if the CPU heatsink fan even works properly? Try it on another fan header. If it works there, the CPU fan header may be dead.

I like crickets idea, try a different fan header, then a new fan if it doesn't work.

If the fan doesn't run on the cpu,DON"T run the system, that's a good way to damage the cpu.

I don't know how you manage to boot up into Windows without frying the CPU as you clearly state the CPU fan does not work.

Especially since you are running an AMD

No fan wouldn't burn out the cpu right away, because the heatsink is still there. But it would still be unsafe, because AMD don't have as many failsafes as Intel.
