48 bit LBA

Hi friends,

I just wanted to know what is the formula for 24 bit LBA and 48 bit LBA? How is 137 GB limitation calculated from 24 bit LBA? And what would be the max capacity of HDD of a motherboard (BIOS) if it supports 48 bit LBA?

Thanks a lot
Regards
Gautam

137gb is 28 bit, not 24.
48 bit is theoretical max 144 petabytes.
