homemade baybus

Hi, going to be making my own baybus, what do you guys suggest to use for resistance to lower the fan speed? Anything I should be worried about such as high current draws or too much power dissipated on the wires etc??... also, PSU's are 12V right? Thanks!

a variable resistor would be best, pots for short name,
yoy'l have to do the math to find out the power reanf and the resistance you will need, and yes the supply you will start with is 12vdc

thx for the reply. One of my fans says "12V .25A" does that mean it has 48ohms of resistance? I mean... it tries to draw 12V and .25A, and in order to do that it must be 48ohms right? I'm a bit confused now.
