asus crw 5224 & S520

Is anyone aware of any problems with the asus 5224 and the S520 writer and reader? I had a new pc built and used an asus mother board, with both these drives and when I write a cd-rw with the nero software provided with the
burner, and place it in the s520 cd rom. the pc crashes. When I insert
any cd-rw into the s520 the pc crashes. When I put the cd-rw which I burn
on the asus 5224a burner in any other pc it reconizes it fine and reads
good. The man who built the pc flashed the bios with the latest version
and it did not help. He also updated the firm ware on the burner. I wrote to Asus 3 weeks ago and have not heard from them. If anyone can shed some light on this problem, I would very much appreate it. My system is listed below... Thanks...
