Does anyone know how exactially to put a cathode into a CRT moniter so that the light comes out of the holes in the top that reliese heat? Just wondering, I know its possible, just trying to see if someone can tell me how to do it.

I really would not recommend that you even open uo the case.
as there is about 30,000 volts in there and can do you some real harm.

I would not put any type of discharge based light inside of a monitor as it could interfer with the electron beam gun that displays the video on the screen.
Also, as mentioned, you are dealing with lethal voltages iside a monitor (even after it has been off and unplugged for several days). Also a CRT is a precision device that can easily be damaged by the untrained.
If you want a lighted monitor case wait until someone markets one and then buy it.

umm just an idea
it'll look not as good but why not stick some super bright LEDS in the air holes on the sides wiht all the wiring on the outiside so you dont risk killin yourself

LOL, ok, but where would they get electricity from? Yes I know moniters feature a little thing called capasators, which can hold large emounts of electricity for a long amount of time.

Get antec usb lights, they come in either a regular cathode or smaller cathodes i have them on my monitor but wouldent risk putting them inside.
