Welcome to PCMech! ASUS is one of the most highly regarded mobo makers on these forums. You'll find alot of people build using ASUS. That particular model is loaded with everything you need as well.

Yes that is an excellent Mobo. It is the one that alot of ppl here prefere. Another on you can look at is the Gigabyte GA-8KNXP. IT depends on teh options and such that you want. ASUS and Gigabyte are the most popular around here i think.

Gigabyte not so much anymore. Their boards have gone down in quality in the last few years. (Higer failure rates)

Asus should change their names to "KICKASS MOTHERBOARDS". I am buy one of their motherboards for the AMD 64 3400+. It is the K8V. Ill see ya l8r.
