I have xp prro. Using NTFS. If I am going to use a hd from this pc on a win98 machine, will the machine able to format it back to FAT32? win98 does not read NTFS. Just curious

only by removing the non dos partition and then create a now dos promary partition and setting it to active, then reformat it.

Delete the partition before you remove it from the XP box, sometimes Fdisk has problems removing NTFS partitions. If you get stuck, Delpart works like a charm.
