Add choice of art program to scan to.

Hello All,

I want to add my new Adobe Photoshop elements program, to the HP scan to the drop down menu. I click scan to & Photoshop 6, Paint Shop Pro, MS art, & a few others stand ready. Adobe Photoshop Elements is not there. PS Elements works in all other ways, except the choice of being scanned to.

Does anyone know how to add this one program? I suspected when I installed the Software for HP Scanner it found & listed the current art programs. I was wrong, as I tried it but it was not added.

Surely there must be a way to add the new art program now but I can't find it. I tried removing, cleaning my Reg & reinstalling PS Elements but that did not add it to the scan to options.

Any ideas where there may be a settings panel for adding or removing the scan to options programs, in the HP scanning software?

I'm not sure if it's the same in elements, but in photoshop, if you go file > import > [scanner name], your scanner will run through photoshop.

I have done this also to get the program with driver/Twain to use this or that scanner for the prescan.

This is different however, the driver/Twain knows the Scanners names & after the prescan, you are given a choice of what Art program to scan to, so you can work on the Scanned image & then save.

In this scan to drop box, I have both the OSs art progs & added art progs to chose from. I also want the choice of Photo Shop Elements, to scan the Photo into to work with.

I use the Cyber view X-MF program for ( film & Slides ) prescanning with the PF3650-PRO & HPs driver & Twain for the prescans ( prints) on the Flatbed scanner HP-5400c.

I know this must happen to others, only I have spent hours looking & searching in all the wrong places. This is why I ask on the off chance, this has happened to someone else who has corrected it.
