question on Kingston Ram? Which one?

Could someone help me on the RAM I am looking at the Kingston 256mb 184 pin DDR PC 3200 chips (2 of them ). These will be used on a new build using a Asus A7N8X - Deluxe MOBO with a 2500 + Barton chip.

On newegg I see they have3 differant ones and 3 different prices. So which one of these is the better ram? I notice Cas Latency numbers differ does that mean anything? Sorry very new to all the fine details of ram.

I just want to make sure I buy the right Ram chips for the mobo. I always read that people prefer Kingston, Geil, Crucial so If anyone could give me advise I would appreciate it.

The dual kit is a pair of 128mb modules, 256mb TOTAL. Lower CAS latency is better.

If you want to use a dual kit and have 512mb, you need a 512mb kit.

I would go with what imbest123 said, but I believe I can amke the destinction. The first one is retail, the second OEM, the third double 128. I would say, search for the same RAM from the second one, just making it 128x2. In other words, see if there's #2 but with 2x128.

Hope that helps,
kram

I think I will do what imbest123 says... Go for the lower Cas Latency number. I have no clue what it means or does but I know everyone talks about it. So I will trust what thegood people at pcmach tells me.. =) TY people

Well I what I want is a total of 512 MB Ram but on the Asus mobo you want to run 2 256mb chips to make up the 512mb so that way you can use the dual rate technology on the mobo.. Does that sound right????

Yep - make sure both of the rams are the same, size/speed/memory/etc. wise.
