transfering documents ME to XP on floppy

i tried to print my tax return from a floppy made on a computer using ME to an xp machine,it said the disk was not formatted and would not print.i put the disk in a w2k computer,it showed up but only as symbols,no real text.pictures copied on floppy from the ME will work on both xp and w2k.is this normal or is there something i am not doing?

Is the tax software installed on all these machines?

What is the name and extension of the file you're trying to print?
