My floppy drive is being a piece of poop. I am running windows xp... The floppy drive has worked before on this computer. When i put in a disk it says please insert disk into drive A:. Im guessing my floppy just died because the led light is not on either. SO do you guys think i need a new drive floppy drive or is it something that can be fixed.
I have tried multiple disks as well im all out of ideas and thoughts would help thanks guys! |

Good news is that floppies are cheap!
Before you buy one however, open the case and check to see if the power connection is tight and same for the floppy cable. Carl |

You haven't moved or unplugged anything on the inside of your case lately, have you? That problem could also be caused by your floppy cable being reconnected upside-down.

Go to www.newegg.com, most of them are under $10.
