HP replaced my OfficeJet v40 with an OfficeJet 4110 .. good deal?
Well my OfficeJet v40 died on me and luckily it was still under warranty, however the v40 was discontinued so the tech guy said they would be sending me a OfficeJet 5110. I received the replacement today and it turns out that they actually sent me a 4110.
Did I get shafted here or is this an [as]-good printer (vs the v40)? I looked at the specs and couldn't really see much of a difference, however the 4110 is much smaller than my v40 which is nice. One difference I did notice on the specs sheet was the printer technology. The v40 was listed simply as "inkjet" while the 4110 was listed as "Thermal inkjet". Is this any good? The 4110 is a bit faster than the V40 but has half the monthly duty cycle. It's listed as the direct replacement for the V40 on HP's site. The print quality should be a bit better, but your ink costs will be higher.
