the best way to down load the pictures is with a card reade, it also saves the battery power in your camera

you might try reloading the software for it

do you get the ding sound when device is connected to the usb port ?

if not, it is not being detected.

when you plug in the camera open windows explorer and look for a removable storage device to show up. Right click the device and choose properties and the autoplay tab, in there you can set the default action to take when the camera is plugged in.

if the drive shows up in explorer, just drag the pictures off of the drive from there, they should be in a folder called DCIM or somthing similar, drag them to your c drive and print them from there.

Copy/paste or drag/drop from card to hard drive is not really a long way.
