hi,
Is it possible to lock the PCI/AGP bus on a motherboard that has it unlocked? |

I am using an AOpen ak77-8xn motherboard using the Via KT400a chipset.
When i go into the bios and raise the fsb the fsb of the pci and agp also raises and i want to know if it is possible to lock them so they do not go higher so i can overclock the pc without having to worry abot data corruption or the ruining my AGP card. |

I'm not familiar with that motherboard...have you looked around in BIOS to see if you can lock those buses?
AOpen isn't really known for overclocker friendly motherboards, so I wouldn't be surprised if you can't lock the PCI and AGP buses. Cricket

that chip doesnt support the AGP/PCI lock, only the nforce2 chipsets do that. KT400A relies on a 1/5th divider...so your PCI clock will be 1/5 of your FSB.
