Whats is it?
I have a Dell Optiplex GX-1 from 99 and I was cleaning all the dust off the inside and I saw what looks like a 3rd ide channel. It has the same number of pins and the same shape as a regular IDE slot, but its labeled AMR. Whats it for?

AMR stands for Audio Modem Riser. It's a slot that a riser card can be plugged into to support things like sound cards or modems so the motherboard manufacturer doesn't have to incorporate those functions into the motherboard, as they can be added on later if desired.

How many different kinds of AMR slots are there? The one is my new computer looks like a small agp slot but the one in the dell looks like a IDE slot.
