I have seen this several times. Got a IBM Pentium 133 desktop in the shop and the screen size is bigger than the viewable. Ya gotta bounce the mouse against the right side of the screen to see all the screen including minimize maximize and x(it). Same for the bottom of the screen. You must take the mowse to the bottom and move the screen up to see the taskbar and so on. I thought mayhaps a better monitor would fix it but no soap. Am I assuming correctly that it is a video adapter (on Mboard) which is screwed up (incorrect driver?)??

Check the display settings, especially the text size that goes along with it.

In the display properties there should be one setting for the monitor resolution, and another slider for the desktop resolution. You just need to set them to be the same.

not all
my computer, (not the IBM I posted about) has only one adjustment called screen area. Not all computers have the two adjustments and I am home not at work so i cannot check the old IBM. hadn't thought of this, though. thanks.
