Hp Psc 2175

A friend of mine is thinking of buying the HP PSC 2175, and asked me to make sure its a good product. She maily uses it for scanning, do standalone scanners scan better than all in one scanners? Would you recommend another brand? I know about Hp's making crappy computers, but I think I've heard good things about their other products. Also, does this work with a mac? I couldn't find any drivers for it (I also assume it's plug and play, just wanted to make sure).

Thank you

My wife loves her PSC 2210V and I have had good luck with HP printers in the past.

The HP all in ones are decent scanners and printers, I'll take them over a Lexmark or a Canon.

Thanx for the help guys, but she's now considering two more All-In-Ones.

The Epson stylus cx6400

And the Epson stylus rx500

Including the HP, which one would you recommend considering brand quality, specs, and ease of use. Again, she uses it mainly for scanning.

Thanx a lot.

i'd recommend the hp annyday, i used to sell scanners and printers as a part time job. (we went our seperate ways when they wanted me to also sell compaq-pc's) and back then (only two years ago i think) epson did not make scanners (to my knowledge) you'd realy want some experience from the company that makes your scanner.

of course all of this is just my opinion and should be concidered as such

Epson makes scanners, and they are excellent scanners, but I do not trust their print engines. The print quality is outstanding, but the mechanics and electronics reliability leaves something to be desired.
