Ever since I formatted my harddrive my keyboard numpad has not been working right. A minor niggle but I'd like to get it sorted.
Instead of displaying a number when I use it it uses the arrows instead. I.e. when I press 8 it moves up etc... Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks. |

Even if you press the NumLock key the 8 goes up? Can usually turn the NumLock key to ON in the BIOS.

With 2K/XP, even if numlock is ON in the bios, it boots up with numlock OFF. If you turn it on manually every time it gets into Windows, it should "remember" and come on by itself - it may take a few reboot and reenable cycles to make it stick. You have to do this for each user.
