Hey Everyone,
I was wondering about the temp of my CPU! I have a AMD Duron 1.4ghz CPU and it is running at 44 degrees celcius. I wanted to know if this is a normal temp, and if this would be effecting the speed and performance (reliability) of the processor. I have read a few articles and more powerful processors run a lower temps then mine. Not am immediate problem, but it is defineatly something that I want to address. For the record I run the computer full time, so it does not have a chance to cool down. Thanks, Anthony |

Thats totally normal. Mine runs anywhere from 41c to 46c. Depends on the temperature of the room your pc is in also.

That temp of 44C is fine. Don't worry about it. The only time you should start to worry is if the temp goes over 65C.

Yeah, more powerful processors run cooler because of the lower voltages, smaller die sizes, advanced technology, etc. Apart from the new prescott core pentium 4's that is, they run hotter than a equivalent northwood core pentium 4.
