overclocking cpu without raising memory fsb?

I've done a little bit of research on overclocking, and I have a question about memory.

When overclocking, does the memory have to be at the FSB that the CPU is being overclocked to, or is it okay if you have, say, a 200MHz FSB and PC2100 RAM?

Thanks,
Kyle

If you're going to overclock your CPU, it's best to get faster RAM. So if you were going to overclock a 166MHz CPU to 200MHz, you want PC3200 instead of PC2700. The RAM will be running at "stock" speed and won't suffer instability problems from being pushed too hard.

And I really doubt if you could ever get PC2100 to 200MHz.

There will be enough of a performance hit to negate a lot of the "benefit" of overclocking if the ram has to run asynchronous - slower than the FSB.
