Alright, well my computer was working fine, everything has been running good, till I started having trouble getting my firewire to work. After trying a few different things, I figured out that it was actually my camcorder at fault, because I tested out my dad's camcorder on my computer, and it worked fine. As one last test, I disconnected the firewire, and hooked up the firewire pins that came onboard with my Antec Sonata case. I did it, tried restarting it, and guess what...
2 short beeps, 6 regular beeps I looked it up for the AMI bios, i can't find anything for BOTH of those, but it says two short beeps means , Parity Circuit failure, and Six short beeps means, Keyboard controller Error. ***, I didn't touch anything except my firewire stuff. Anyone have any tips, I dont even know what that stuff means. I'm frustrated, I guess EVERYTHING in the book is gonna have to happen with my first build before It runs smoothly. |

ok, here's a brief update, I reached behind the case and found that the keyboard wasn't completely seated into its connector, so i pushed it in all the way, and the computer booted up. But then stopped and said "Overclocking failed!"
(i've never tried overclocking it) then it asked if i wanted to go to the settings, or press F2 to pick default settings. Soo, I have NO idea whats going on with it. |
