Overclocking
I finished my new PC a couple weeks ago, and am curious about overclocking....How do I do it?

With a Intel cpu you need to go into bios and up the FSB of the cpu, some mobos will have an auto overclock feature in the bios in which you choose 5,10,20 or 30% overclock and depending on the hardware involed it may or might not boot with the overclock settings.

First let me say this, with a 3GHz CPU, you probably aren't going to get much of an overclock.
You need to have at least PC3500 to overclock a P4C (You don't specify the speed in your specs). If you do, you can increase the FSB in the BIOS from 200MHz to whatever. I can't tell you how much you will be able to OC because it's different in each case. |

uhh... it's best to have faster speed ram but is not nessecary for overclocking a P4, I've cranked up a 2.4B to 3.2 on PC2700 with ease.

Nothing wrong with PC3500, it will give you a little overhead for overclocking and it's what I have in mine.

you don't NEED pc3500 or higher to OC a P4, but it can't hurt
