Did you put the AS5 on according to the directions? After 200hrs it will work the best, but either way should cool temps the first time you put it on. Cooled mine 5c.

You should see a change right away. Maybe you don't have enough thermal compond, or the HSF is not contacting the proc die as well as it could.

For AS all you do is put it on the HS rub it in good with your hand in a plastic bag so the oils dont get on it, then wipe it off with a lint free cloth so all there is is a haze left on it.

when you put it on the core of the CPU, spread it with a credit card or a razor blade. all you need is a VERY thin, almost transparent layer on the core.

Actually, that's why I don't use "fancy" HS/fan combos. I've never got more than a degree or two drop in temps over something like the $9 Speeze. I put the extra $$ that I saved away for a new CPU or vid card, or whatever

when you start pushing some serious voltage that speeze will become a paper weight.

I guess I should look more at sigs, eh??
Sometimes I don't even have them "turned on" to show, anyway. (Plus, it's just my luck that the few times I've used the info in the sig, it turns out to be a different system that was being discussed, so I'm shy about being "bit")
