Audigy 2 ZS
I upgraded my AC 97' onboard sound to an Audigy 2 ZS and my computer runs a lot better. The onboard sound uses a lot of processor resources, so getting the Audigy helped a lot. Great sound quality, and comes with many features such as 5.1 surround sound or 6.1...I bought from Best Buy for 100 bucks and it came with a Tomb Raider game and Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield. Some other bundled software was included... I threw it out. I think and AOL disk was in thre (which offends me)

Agree about the Audigy ZS (friend's computer) and also agree about the AOL ;-) . Audigy ZS is the best card out there for the mainstrems user.
The Creative sound cards add nice surround support to your computer, and is much better than what you would usually see on a mainstream card. I also tried comparing it with my friend's TurtleBeach Voyetra Santa Cruz and it just blows it away (both in price and in quality). kram

I also forgot.... The card comes with a Firewire connection port... As well as an optional addon Game Port.. The Game port uses a standard pci type slot in your case (doesn't need to be plugged into pci slot) and connects right to the Audigy sound board.
