Mobo for AMD athlon xp 1.2ghz

What do I need to look for to determine which motherboards will be compatible with my CPU?

So far I've answered my own question by going to newegg.com and searching under motherboards->AMD. So to further my question, what do you think of this board?

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...127-144&depa=1

I have 256mb of DDR ram already, and an NVIDIA GEFORCE 2 (32mb DDR) graphics card. I plan on upgrading the RAM and videocard soon, but not the processor. My power supply is a 250W, do I need more? Keeping all this in mind, please recommend which parts you think would suit me best. I want to do this as cheaply as possible. Thanks.

Do you know if your 1.2GHz T-Bird is a 200MHz or 266MHz processor?

I think all you need to make sure of is the motherboard supports Socket 462 (or Socket A) CPU's and has a motherboard FSB of 100MHz or 133MHz (depending on whether you have a 200MHz or 266MHz T-Bird). I'm pretty sure most current motherboards will support the older AMD Socket A Athlons.

You should upgrade the power supply to at least 300 watts and make sure you get a good quality one.

I'm not positive which I have, and I don't know how to check cuz I can't start up my computer. It's a vicious cycle

If I had to guess, I'd say it was 200mhz, but I can't really recall...is there a way to tell without dismantling my entire computer??

Look at the chip die and type the first row of letters/numbers and do a google search and you will find out what the chip is.

Look at the markings on your CPU, and look them up on this page.
