I am staying at my girlfriends mothers house at the moment house sitting for a couple of weeks. and I am stuck with their PC. It is actually a high end machine P4 3.0 Ghz, Radeon 9700 Pro etc, and a 19" NEC Multisync LCD1920NX TFT Monitor. The monitor is connected via a regular analogue cable, I have checked the settings in the display properties and the monitor is just set as a regular CRT monitor.
When playing SOF2 Double Helix at any resolution the quality of the picture is absolutely rubbish with severe lag and ghosting when turning round etc. It just gives me a bad head and is unplayable. Is there anything I can do help this use a DVI cable or change the settings or something or is this just a poor monitor for games, shouldn't be as it was very expensive. Pleased I never bought a TFT monitor now if this is anything to go off as it is useless for games compared to my 17" Triniton CRT monitor at home. The monitor is great for Windows etc but games it really sucks! |

I looked at the specs for this monitor and it looks very very similar to the Viewsonic VG191 which my friend has. It's a 19" TFT with MVA technology, too, and it just sucks because of ghosting. I still don't know if it is somehow related to the MVA technology, because other TFTs don't have ghosting. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do about it.
