Mini Ipod Flash or HDD
I know the Ipod's are HDD, but someone told me that the mini is a flash. Would make sense since I think the price is a little high.
Can someone clear the mystery? Flash or HDD for the Mini model? |

Mini's are 4GB HDD, as per Apple's site: http://www.apple.com/ipodmini/

Then that raises this question: for 4 gigs, why so much?

If the mini's are like the regular size iPods, they have the HDD and flash memory for skip protection. The regular iPod has 128mb of flash memory.

ipod mind is priced in the same range as any other 4gig hdd player. Bear in mind that hitachi sell those drives retail for $500, apple obviously pay a lot less than that but it is still a large % of the cost.
But the real answer to why so much, they can't keep them in stock so why price them any lower when they sell more than all other players combined.
