Hello....When I insert a cd rom the computer reboots If I leave the cd in it just stays in a loop of rebooting. This is the case for any cd I place in the drive... I was wondering If it could be the
1. Cd rom drive bad 2. psu 3. just needs cleaning Any Ideas please let me know....Thanks |

What brand of CD drive? What is the CD you leave in there?

It doesn't matter...I put 5 different cds in and it reboots....Its a Compaq computer..I don't know the brand of the cd rom drive....Thanks for your reply

Who knows with a compaq.
![]() Check in the BIOS to see if CDROM is listed as one of the boot devices. If it is, try removing it. |
