what to do with fan signal lead on antec power supply?

hey

this antec atx power supply i've got has a "fan signal" lead that i'm not sure what to do with. according to the antec case manual, it's for monitoring the ps fan speed thru a software interface, and should be connected to any mobo fan connector.

is this connection instruction correct? my mobo (asus a7v333)
doesn't seem to have any headers for fan monitoring connections, but does have 1 or 2 free fan connectors near the cpu. as far as i know, these provide power to auxiliary fans, and i don't want to mess anything up by connecting this fan signal lead to the wrong place.

thanks for any advice.

You can connect it to the CASE FAN, CHASSIS FAN or SYSTEM FAN headers. All that connection does it supply RPM information to the health monitor...the fan itself isn't powered from the motherboard but from within the power supply itself, so you could actually leave it disconnected and nothing bad will happen.
