Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse

I'd thought I'd share my thoughts on the MS Wireless Optical Blue/White edition I had, that I have been using for about a little more than four month.

The MS Intellimouse Wireless Optical basically puts fidelity to its maximum. Allowing USB or PS2 port connections (with a adapted that comes with the mouse), you would plug in the wireless receiver into the USB port and it can be placed within a good proximity of the mouse in operation. Its maximum proximity is around at 12 feet radius of the base station.

The mouse has two standard right and left click buttons, and a scroll wheel. The touch on the buttons to click it is decently firm.

With the driver installed, the computer is able to allow complete customization of the mouse. The effectiveness of the scroll wheel can be customized, the assignation of the buttons (click, back, Alt+F4, etc.), etc.

Overall, I think it runs pretty decently on my Win98SE desktop. Although fidelity is at its peek, I would highly recommend this for desktop users, more than mobile laptops. The only nag I have about it, is that it runs on two AA batteries, and there is no base charging system. The power gets depleted from the battery about once every three months. However, the other features that make this mouse a good mainstream wireless optical mouse, make this a side note.
