i would like to make my computer quieter... i dont have that much money to spend... right now i have a Antec LANBOY
Aluminum Super Mini Tower case Specs so far i have not added anything to it... however it was a display model and it came with a neon blue fan in the back ... but i dont know what model or brand it is

use rubber washers on the fans to lessen alittle vibrations...

where would i get the washers (computer store?, hardware store?), and are there a certain type i should get?

You can use rubber O-rings or grommets.
Is the fan making too much wind noise? If that's the case, you can try the 7-volt trick to slow the fan down. Cricket

You could try a fan controller to lower the speed of the fan(s) if thats where the main source of noise is coming from. You could also try buying some quiet fans (Panaflo fans are amoung the quietest and can be found here for a pretty reasonable price http://www.jab-tech.com ).

i actually cant sleep without my computer on cause im so used to doing it... before i had mine in my room i would sleep in my dads office... i dunno i just like the humming...

you could also cut the stamped grill out of the rear exhaust, that will cut down on some noise for you as well.

Tin did that make a big diff? I thought of doing that on my woman's computer, it's in the Lanboy case....
