Angry Drives problem....Grrrr.

Ok, this is extremely frustrating. Heres the problem:

I reinstalled XP on my computer. I have 3 drives(CD-RW, DVD-RW, and a DVD ROM) my DVDrom shows up under my computer, however, even after reboot, the other drives don't show up or register. They all registered before i reinstalled!

Any ideas?

How are your IDE's configured? Where's the Hard drive(s)? Do the drives not show up in BIOS, Device Manager, My computer, or all three?

Best configuration I think is hard drive and least used optical on primary IDE using 80 wire cable, both set to Cable Select on the jumpers. Use a 40 wire cable on the Secondary IDE and set the jumpers to Master/Slave. OR you can use an 80 wire on the Secondary also and set both opticals to Cable Select. If they don't show up in bios after setting the configuration as outlined, try another cable.
