asus a7v333 mobo bundle didn't include driver cd -- help!

hi guys

when i bought my mobo recently for a new build, an asus a7v333, i stupidly didn't realize that the driver cd wasn't in the bundle package. the tech guys at compusa dug around and gave me a via mobo cd that they thought should work, but the early dialog boxes in the startup seem to refer to some other board.

so i've been checking out asus support site & downloaded audio drivers for win xp and linux, but am not sure what all else i need, driver-wise.

i've heard of chipset drivers, which i don't really understand, and the device manager seems to indicate that there are no usb drivers present on the system yet.

other than the audio driver, what all do i need? asus' site didn't show any usb drivers available, but there was this file, "smartio_a7v333.zip" that they referred to as a "smart i/o driver" since usb is a kind of i/o interface, is this the driver i'm looking for?

thanks!

Looks like you need to go to utilities, download the 4 in 1 drivers. That will most of what you need. The usb drivers you will get from windows when you download sp1. You will also need to download asus flas utility, that will aloow you to update the bios from inside of windows. Good luck,

also, when i looked for the bios flashing utility you mentioned, the only one listed for that mobo is "aflash v2.21", and the menu says that's for dos.

You don't need 4 in 1's for XP, and you don't need the bios flashing utility.
