Memory frequency in Dual Channel?
I've built this great system with the help from PC Mech! Thanks..
I've also got a question about memory frequency. First note everything is running great! When my system starts up there is a flash right after the BIOS version, that says "Memory Frequency is at 166 mhz: Dual Channel Mode". Is this correct? The memory that is installed is (x2) 512mb pc2700 333mhz from Crucial. They are in the dual channel slots. I am unable to find any setting in the BIOS that adjusts the freq, and I have no desire at this point to "overclock anything".... Thanks, Lee Here are the rest of the stats on the system. ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe AMD Athlon 2800+ 333mhz Crucial 512mb DDR PC2700 333mhz (x2) in dual channel mode ATI Radeon 9600xt Maxtor 80gb UATA133 7200rpm 8mb buffer (x2)
