How to install either of these on my Into d875pbz mobo?
Does anyone has experience with either of these?
How complex would an install be on an P4 mobo? I heard you have to remove the stock heat sink retention clips. Is that easy to do? |

Those two particular heatsinks won't fit on the D875PBZ (or any P4 motherboard), those heatsinks are made for AMD based motherboards using Socket 462. You gotta find heatsinks made specifically for the P4.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking at zipzoomfly.com and they have these listed under the socket 478 section.

The Fan comes with a plate that replaces the stock P4 setup. You might want to take a look at this review. http://www.overclockersclub.com/revi...ink_review.php |

Oh, you didn't include the "Image shown is for display purpose" line that was under those pictures.
It looks like you have to remove the motherboard from the case, remove the retention ring that's surrounds the CPU socket, use the 4 holes in the motherboard to install the Aerocool mounting bracket, from the CPU side you screw down the heatsink onto the CPU. Doesn't look hard to do. Cricket
