865 chipsets that support celeron?
are there any pentium chipsets that are decently upgradeable and still support entry level processors like celeron???
preferably with 800 fsb and ddr400 |

Take a look at the Asus P4P800 series of boards. They support 400fsb as well as 533 and 800. Think the Deluxe board does too.

As I said in your other thread, you need to look at the CPU compatibility chart for the exact board. I personally wouldn't go any slower than 2.0 GHz on a Celeron - the Northwood core is a better processor than the Willamette core and still pretty cheap.

something to do with the new stepping for the northwood
and the .13 micron instead of the .18, i don't know what that means but it's better for overclocking i guess |

Less heat, more efficient core. The 1.7 cely gets hammered by the old 1.3 Tualatin P3 based cely. Willamettes are dogs.

My D865perl supports my 2.2cel with ddr333 will also go to 800fsb and ddr400.
