Then he should be at 4.10ghz, sorry but i find this very hard to belive unless he is running some kind of extreme setup. If i am wrong well, then sorry. But its fairly easy to take a screen shot then change the #'s with photo shop, can he take a pic of his bios with a camera showing this? And if he actually did this, then wow....

The highest ever done was around 5ghz with liquid nitrogen to cool it and had heavy mods had to be done to the board and what not...im betting this is a photoshop cause its damn near impossible.

Edit: there is no way possible this is done on air cooling, cant even get it done on water

lol thats photoshopped. come on people, even if you are newbies to overclocking, anyone can tell those numbers are fake....just look at the style of the numbers and compare it with the serial numbers or anything else.

if youre gonna flaunt something at least tell your friend he needs to keep tabs on consistency. haha.

Just was about to say that dragon, no way that thing is running like that on stock voltage....sorry but your friend is nothing but a cheat.

Edit: Another great poing mike, if you look the 6's are curved in the serial while there slanted in the proc speed.

LoL... anything is possible in the future. But that kind of speed is not possible now, with that chip, with those settings.

Yep, look at the difference between the clock speed numbers in the left pic, compared to the other text. Total bull.

Plus, it's XP Media Center Edition, which means that it came on a pre-built system (ie Dell), and cannot be overclocked, unless he did some upgrading of the MB, RAM, etc..

if u look at the 6 on the 2nd one, it doesn't even look like the other 6's.. (same with the other changed numbers)

but 4200 speeds (and beyond) have been achieved on mobile 2500s

but 4200 is around 2.9ghz, not 4.07

really suprized it lasted so long before someone called bull on this! would have thought you guys would have realised 4.07ghz isn't 4200.. and it wouldn't even be detected as a 4200 anyway would it?

I would think the computer would still *see* the chip as a 2500....mine still says I have a p4 2.8GHz proc....just reports the clock speed as different. Although I've never really paid attention to the computer properties screen there, only one's I look at are AIDA32 and SANDRA....

Good try though - I wonder how many people just scrambled out to snatch up some 2500's.

OMG THATS ALMOST AS INSANE AS THE DOWNLOAD SPEED I GOT WHEN I HAD 56K!!! I have cable now btw.
http://img20.photobucket.com/albums/...stdownload.bmp

*edit*
Sorry its hard to see but it says it was going at 10000000MB/Sec. Hey stop trying to pull off BS like this, its not kool and it just gives you a bad name. If you even overclocked it 1Mhz then congrats for your successful overclock but dont try and pull shizle off like that.

I'm closing this thread, it's going nowhere productive and is far from respectful. I also converted the huge inline images to links, when I get a horizontal scroll bar at 1280x1024, that's just not considerate.
