what does RMA stand for

what does RMA stand for. i just can seem to find it any ware. its most likly something that i no just dont no wat it stands for

I'm pretty sure it stands for Return Merchandise Authorization...... but not 100% sure.

Yup, RMA means "Return Merchandise Authorization". Means you got the okay from the manufacturer or vendor to return a defective component.

Welcome to the Newegg.com simple Online Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) system.

The RMA is a number that gives you permission to return an item under certain terms and conditions. The number allows the company receiving the merchandise back to track the item upon return and to know in advance why that item is being returned. It may be for warranty failure/replacement, or it may be that the buyer just didn't like the product. Without prior authorization of return, an item sent back has a good chance of being lost.

but really it means the same thing.
