Thumbs up Check Out SilverStone Cases!...

Hey, I just built a homebuilt computer and I went with a SilverStone case. I absolutely love it. I bought the SST-TJ02. The thing is awesome! It's a steel case with an aluminum front panel. It's heavy duty and is a toolless design. I highly recommend it! Check them out...

Nice looking case. I was wondering what that was in the pic you posted. The only thng with silver cases is that matching drive colors is a royal pain. I like the looks though. Hiow is cooling?

trowand--great looking case--with a 120mm fan up front it would seem quiet and well ventilated, but correct me if wrong, the only air intakes are the little vents under the front bezel???

Sure wish this case had better front ventillation and came in black with a clear side panel--I am in the middle of a computer build and cannot find the case that is "just right."

Cool

Mike, it does come in black. But it doesn't have a clear side panel, but you could add that yourself if you really wanted too. And yes, those holes under the front/bottom are the only inlets. I've thought about enlarging them with a drill or adding more holes with a drill but it runs VERY COOL. I've got the 120mm fan in front and a 120mm fan in the rear. I'm overclocking my P4 3.0Ghz CPU to 3.5Ghz which has a stock Intel heat sink & fan and it stays cool as a cucumber. My mobo has as temperature monitoring program and I have the temp. alarms set as low as they will go and I've never set it off while playing games or bechmarks.

Mike check the Lian-Li PC-65. There is also a full tower version of this. Lian-Li's are v.expensive but superbly built.

As a courtesy to those of us still on dial-up, please don't put large images in your posts...provide a link to the image instead.

Thank you.

fedz--after perusing cases for more hours than I care to admit, I gave much serious consideration to the Lian Li PC-65B, but ended up ordering a CoolerMaster ATC-201B-BXT which is very similar to the PC-65B, but slightly larger and in reviews, was at least the equal of the PC-65B. Only time will tell if I did the right thing.

There is a new Vantec case coming out in a few months that looks great, but its front air intake appears to be on the lower left side near the front and I have real concerns about cooling the Raptors that will be placed there.

Either painting the drive bezel or stealthing it is an easy way for fix that. SilverStone cases are very nice. CoolerMaster makes very nice cases as well. I especially like THIS one. It has a removable motherboard tray and it is all aluminum. When I build my next PC that is the case I will use.

That is usually a good thing. Most PSU's that come with cases are bad news.
