Please help!!!!!! I have a Power Spec Pentium II computer that has a problem. It just quit, the montior say check signel cable. So took it to the pc shop and they check it out and found out that the motherboard was bad. That every thing else was good. So had them to order me a new board it a micro Atx slot 1. I'm learning how to work on pc or trying to anyways. So decided to try putting it in myself. I did what it manual said. Then took it back to the shop and had them check to see if I had everything plug in right. Well when I hook it all up, all I get when I turn it on is check signel cable. The new board is a S2056 Tomcati810e. The power supply fan doesn't come on, it did before. What could be the problem? the mother board has a video card, sound card on the board. PLEASE HELP !!!!!!

Lois,
Review the tutorial at this site called "Build a PC". I think you have a Tyan brand board. The first thing I would suspect is defective ram. That will cause all kinds of video problems. Try swapping the ram with known good ram.
