i was looking up the modem and reading some of its features. one thing that cuaght my eye was the "Shotgun" tech that allows you to use two modems. is this really a big deal? does it require two phone lines? Or is this just a marketing strategy to get buyers? i'm skeptical.
--thanks for any info

This requires 2 phone lines and a "multilink" ISP account. You can do the same thing with the multilink function in Windows 98 dialup networking - you don't need "shotgun".

Yeah,
It requires 2 phone lines. Also, you don't have to use Supra modems.

The Supra Shotgun is a lousy modem (well, not as good as the plain old Express anyhow), and "Shotgun" is so full of bugs, it's not worth the extra $$.
Get the regular Express, and if you do have a second modem (and phone line, and an ISP that supports it) use Windows Multilinking, it's faster, easier to use, and a breeze to set up.
