Pissed CDR & DVDR not showing cds in drive?

hi there,

just finished my new build and a VERY happy, however i have just noticed that there is a problem with the Toshiba DVD-R and Sony CD-R drives in that when i put a cd in, i can access them as normal, however they do no autorun and also when i look at them in my computer it does not show the title of the disc that is in teh drive.

i have already checked and made sure that i have checked that the autorun CD option is on in the properties but i cant work out wat to do!

please help!

hi my main question is do you have 2 recorders hooked up at the same time?? if thats the case that can create a problem if so suggest getting a regular drive at least when i did this i encountered problems, any more specs??

You could have 6 recorders in one PC and it should be able to run all of them fine. If these drives are sharing the same IDE cable, use the jumpers on the back of the drives to set the one on the end of the cable to "Master", and the one on the second cable connector to "Cable Select". This should fix your problem.
